Outstanding customer service while serving Delicious Caribbean food , and pastries . The currantt and coconut rolls is to die for. As for the doubles, curry chicken, curry goat, stew chicken and rotis are all incredibly delicious. Let’s just say I recommend everything on the menu.

D Coal Pot is my favorite type of restaurant. It feels like walking into a family friend's house with the great food and cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly, warm, and professional. I've tried most other Trinidadian spots in the city and D Coal Pot is by far the best - the roti and doubles are tops. Recommended to all my friends.

Wow The food is tasty and flavorful; not too salty, which I appreciate. Great value for the price as well, especially in today's inflated economy. More than anything, I am so grateful for the patient and generous service given to me and my family. I should have asked the woman's name, but God bless you so much and may God continue to prosper your business! Oh, and outdoor seating - perfect for us; it happened to be a beautiful day! And sorrel was tasty as well. Wish I were Keith Lee and could have tipped her a month's rent lol

The minute I entered their restaurant, Dev/Dave (pardon me) and Asif were very friendly. I told them it was my first time at the restaurant and asked what each of the dishes were. Dave had such a warm demeanor and talked about all the dishes with passion. I asked him to tell me about the dishes but he gave me a bite of everything to try before buying. Doubles - 5* Dal - 5* Potato curry - 5* Polourie - 5* Callaloo - 4* Flaky roti - 4* Stew & curry chicken - 3.5* I bought doubles, potato curry, curry & stew chicken, Calalou, flaky roti & polourie. Doubles was amazing, so was the potato curry. Polourie is a fried dough ball topped with tamarind chutney, spicy sauce w/scorpion pepper(I think) and cucumber. That was great! I'll be back to try some of their goat & fish dishes.

Amazing food, all fresh cooked every single day, make sure to order ahead or else!!! Doubles, aloo pies, the shrimp curry, and their pepper sauce is sublime! The paratha roti is cooked fresh to order and the dhal puri is sooooooo good. Owners are such great people and make you feel like you're back home in the Caribbean. Also does catering orders, highly recommend!!!

Food full of flavor and soul. Not over powering but warming spices. Can't beat the deal for doubles. I love the goat curry and all the sides. Stir fried cabbage, mashed pumpkin, potatoes, chickpeas. My favorite place to eat in Hyde Park

I recently visited D Coal Pot in Boston and had an amazing experience! The curry was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and perfectly spiced. The roti was the perfect complement, crispy and fluffy. The best part, though, was the friendly service; the staff made me feel right at home. I can't wait to come back for more!
